Before joining New River, Porshia worked as an account executive in the promotional products space managing branding and marketing campaigns for her clients. Among other professional honors, she was a speaker at a products conference headlined by Seth Godin, Skucon 2021. She also completed her certified advertising specialist certificate the same year. Porshia has been a 10-year mentor with The Teach One to Lead One Program, spending most of her time working to help at-risk youth within the juvenile court system. 

What’s the best part of your job?

Being part of something that actually has an end user who will benefit from the work I get to be a of. Seeing how many awesome non-profit organizations exist. 

Worst part of your job?
Inevitable errors or mistakes that lead to the phone call with not so great news. Or when you have to find a solution to make it happen which then takes up most of your day!

Your favorite escape from the job?
Trying new restaurants, reality TV shows (mainly those on Bravo and TLC), going to the movies, spending time with my husband, and spoiling my nieces and nephew… in no particular order!
